Choteau Elementary School is home to approximately 180 students in grades K-6 with a student-teacher ratio of 15. The school has an established MTSS for students and values the philosophy of MBI. The PAX program is also utilized in the elementary school. Professional development is valued and pursued as a staff with many opportunities provided. Choteau Elementary School has a top-notch teaching staff that works seamlessly to provide a quality educational experience for all students.

The student population in the junior high is 50 and the high school has 108. Choteau Junior High/High School has 17 certified teachers and 10 non-certified staff, which equates to an excellent student to teacher ratio. 

Choteau High School is an established, successful academic institution. High school students are successful at balancing their academics with strong participation in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.

The city of Choteau is located on the beautiful Rocky Mountain Front. Choteau’s location provides bountiful outdoor opportunities including skiing, hiking, hunting and fishing within minutes. Eureka Reservoir, a popular recreation spot, is a ten minute drive from the city. Choteau is an agriculture-based community with a population of 1,800. Choteau Public Schools starting salary is $29,479 (subject to change based on negotiations). Health insurance, dental, vision and life insurance are available. Montana Teacher Retirement System contributions.There is a $2,000 signing bonus for teachers with zero (0) to four (4) years of experience and the district contributes to health insurance. The district also accepts up to twelve (12) years of teaching experience. 

7-12 Special Education Teacher

Choteau Public Schools seeks a junior high/high school (7-12) special education teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The candidate should have knowledge of effective instructional practices, strong content-knowledge, ability to work as a member of a team, and a love of teaching and young adults. The special education room has a top-notch paraprofessional staff to help meet IEP goals for students.

PreK-6 Special Education Teacher

Choteau Public Schools seeks an elementary (PreK-6) special education teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The candidate should have knowledge of effective instructional practices, strong content-knowledge, ability to work as a member of a team, and a love of teaching and young adults. The special education room has a top-notch paraprofessional staff to help meet IEP goals for students.

K-12 Librarian

Choteau Elementary School has an opening for full-time K-12 librarian for the 2022-2023 school year. The position is half time in the junior high/high school and half time in the elementary. Applicant must have a valid Montana Educator License with proper endorsement and or demonstrate the ability to obtain proper certification. Choteau Elementary School is home to approximately 190 students in grades K-6 with a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1. Students attend library classes on a weekly basis. Choteau Elementary School has a top-notch teaching staff that works seamlessly to provide a quality educational experience for all students. 

Junior High/High School Family and Consumer Science

Choteau Public Schools is looking for a 7-12 Family and Consumer Sciences teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicant must have a valid Montana Educator License with the applicable endorsement and/or demonstrate the ability to obtain proper certification. The school district offers an accredited comprehensive curriculum that strives to meet the needs of all students. We do this by always putting “Kids First.” The foundation of our district is the instructional expertise of our teachers and a favorable connection with school and community. 

Elementary

Choteau Elementary School has one opening for full-time teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicant must have a valid Montana Educator License with an Elementary K-8 endorsement and or demonstrate the ability to obtain proper certification.
