The Choteau area is home to two museums: The Old Trail Museum, and the Montana Dinosaur Center

The Choteau Lions Club has operated the pool in Choteau since 1934. The Lions Club raised over $1 million to rebuild the pool in 2013.
Choteau’s arts community is thriving! The Choteau Arts has recently moved into a new Main Street building and provides art lessons and a place for community artists to work.
Choteau’s annual Independence Day celebration is world-renowned. Every year we hold a parade, a rodeo, concerts, races, pitchfork fondue, and the cherry on top at the end of the night is the community funded fireworks display.
Pack 51 and Troops 51 have been a part of the fabric of Choteau since the1910’s.
Cub Scouting is open to girls and boys ages 5-10, and our Scouts BSA Troops are open to both young men and women ages 11-18.
The Choteau Community Band plays at events throughout the summer, the board the Opportunity for All Scholarship brings top-talent musical acts to Choteau, and during the fourth of July the Brew Fest brings swinging bluegrass, and the Choteau American brings a variety of musical acts to town.
Choteau has several active civic and community oriented organizations, including the Choteau Lions Club, Choteau Chamber of Commerce, Teton Antique Steam & Gas Association, Choteau & Vicinity Soroptimist Club.
Choteau is home to the Benefis Teton Medical Center, which offers Primary Care, an Emergency Department, Inpatient Care, Diagnostic Testing, Rehabilitation, and Long Term Care
Choteau is home to two grocery stores; Rex’s Market and Mountain Front Market, and several restaurants including the Log Cabin Cafe, John Henry’s Family Restaurant, and the Outpost Deli.
Glacier National Park is 85 miles away. The expanse of Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex is only 15 miles away. Hunt, fish, and camp to your heart’s content.
