This week as we celebrate Independence Day, many people who grew up in Choteau return home to celebrate the holiday. Some tourists have created their own traditions by returning to Choteau year after year to join in on our patriotic festivities. Some are joining us this year for the first time.
Whatever your call to come to Choteau, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to Make Choteau Home.
The internet age provides an opportunity for people from diverse industries to work and live right here in Choteau. From web developers to insurance project managers, our community has a burgeoning movement of telecommuting remote workers and entrepreneurs taking advantage of our high-speed internet while enjoying spectacular, unspoiled nature, set amidst our vibrant and charming small town. If you have a job or business that can be worked remotely, consider making Choteau your home base.
Don’t think for a second that I am only speaking to technology workers: Choteau needs tradesmen and artisans to do and create things that simply can’t be bought on Amazon or mass produced for Wal-Mart.
If you are currently living in Choteau and have children or grandchildren, siblings, or other loved ones who could move their business or jobs to Choteau, consider starting a conversation with them about moving home. Visit makechoteauhome.com to understand why we choose to call Choteau home.
Don’t forget to be awesome,
Sincerely,
Steve “Dee” Dogiakos
Choteau City Council
